An award-winning Broadcast Journalist, I am also an accomplished interviewer for a rich variety of media outlets, including AP Radio News, Barnes and Noble dot com, SiriusXM and Westwood One. I work with major publishers, among them HarperCollins, Little Brown, Random House, Penguin-Putnam, Simon & Schuster, Hyperion and Hay House. I have done thousands of interviews with authors, including New York Times best-selling authors such as Brad Meltzer, James Patterson, Chuck Palahniuk, Lisa Gardner and Chelsea Cain.
I am in what has been called The Hottest Writing Group in Portland with Chuck Palahniuk, Chelsea Cain, Cheryl Strayed, Monica Drake and other professional writers. My memoir BookMark: How Reading Saved My Life is represented by New York agent Marilyn Allen of Allen O’Shea.
Intense curiosity drives me, which leads me to ask a lot of questions. The answers coast into national magazine articles, radio stories, TV book review segments, national radio talk shows and online media, even on stage. Additionally, each answer potentially spurs personal growth, which I share on Twitter, FaceBook and LinkedIn.
